Content Ownership & Usage

At Round Rooms, we’re all about open conversations — and part of that means being open about how we handle the content we create together.

Here’s how we manage the ownership and use of anything recorded, shared, or published through our platform:

1. Who Owns the Recordings?

All roundtable discussions filmed and produced by Round Rooms are the intellectual property of Round Rooms. This includes:

  • Video and audio recordings
  • Edited clips, highlight reels, or teaser content
  • Any associated artwork or branded materials

2. Participant Consent

By taking part in a filmed session, participants agree to be:

  • Recorded (audio and video)
  • Featured in content that may be shared on our platform and social channels
  • Included in clips, quotes, or promotional material

We’ll always make it clear when a session is being recorded and give you the chance to opt out in advance.

3. How We Use the Content

Recordings may be used to:

  • Publish full episodes or short clips on our website, YouTube, or social media
  • Create promotional content for upcoming sessions
  • Showcase the value of open, in-the-round conversations

We’ll never sell your image, voice, or story to third parties without additional consent.

4. Sharing and Reuse

We encourage sharing! You’re welcome to:

  • Embed or link to our content
  • Share clips or episodes on social media

However, please don’t:

  • Download and reupload full episodes without permission
  • Use the content in paid ads or commercial campaigns unless you’re a registered sponsor or partner

5. If You’re a Host, Brand, or Sponsor

If you’re involved as a partner or sponsor:

  • We’ll agree on usage rights before filming
  • You’ll be credited where relevant
  • We may provide branded or co-edited versions of the content for your use
  • If you’d like exclusive licensing options, just ask

6. Privacy & Opt-Out

We understand that people sometimes change their mind. If you’ve taken part in a conversation and later feel uncomfortable with your appearance in public-facing content, get in touch. We’ll review the request and do our best to honour it.
